Home & Gardening

Our gardening section holds the heart of Upcountry. We supply a vast range of garden-related products including local and exotic plants, trees, bulbs and shrubs. Inside the glasshouse you’ll also find beautiful houseplants, here to help you transform your home into a leafy urban jungle.

You can rest assured that we’ll equip you with all the right tools to create your dream garden and keep it looking nice and tidy with our top-quality gardening equipment. We supply a wide range of garden furniture, from traditional pine to more contemporary styles, all of which will create your outdoor haven for those summer evening barbecues with friends.

If you’re looking for the perfect gift, our homeware section has plenty of options, from delightful scented candles and greetings cards to local art. We even have our Tractor Ted range for the kids, with gorgeous farm-related toys and clothing.

Our Butcher

Our in-house butcher Craig has a shop right inside the garden centre. C Stevens Butchers uses local farmers, abattoirs and suppliers, so we can guarantee high welfare and quality standards throughout the process. The main supplier is JFH Farming Ltd, just three miles away in Herstmonceux.

C Stevens Butchers offers a wide range of top-quality local meat including beef, pork, lamb and duck, plus selection packs, barbecue boxes and breakfast packs.

Farm Shop

Enjoy the tastes of Sussex in our rustic farm shop, nestled inside both our garden centres. We’re passionate about top-quality produce and we keep building relationships with local suppliers and farmers, so there’s an ever-changing range of delicacies.

You’ll find delicious seasonal fruit and vegetables, dairy and meat, alongside a pantry section with sweet treats, jars, organic teas, coffees and beverages.

Pets & Aquatics

We love our pets and know you do too! Our pet section at Stone Cross is full to the brim with everything you need to keep your furry friends happy and healthy: all the top pet supplies for dogs, cats, birds and fish, including feed, toys, grooming and health care, plus an equestrian department with the top horse bedding and feed brands.

If you’re a fish lover, you’ll be pleased to hear we have our very own aquatics centre run by Fishey Business, with something for freshwater and marine fish keepers of every level, though the speciality is unusual tropical fish.
