Verbena bonariensis 2 litre

Long, slim stems topped with rich purple flower heads from midsummer, floating above the rest of the border. Bees and butterflies adore it, and it’s drought tolerant. It self-seeds freely, so a single plant can turn into a drift. A true classic, sometimes called purple top.

Good to know: 1.5m x 50cm. Full sun, well-drained soil. Hardy, but mulch in autumn and shelter it from long, hard frosts. Cut back old stems in spring. Toxic if eaten.
