2l Abelia Kaleidoscope

Bright yellow and green leaves all year, then a bonfire of yellow, orange and red as autumn comes in, with white flowers in summer for good measure. It started life as a sport of Abelia Little Richard, found in North Carolina in 2006, and stays compact enough for a pot. Sun brings out the best colour.

Good to know: 40 x 40cm. Full sun or part shade, moist, well-drained soil. Fully hardy. Prune lightly in spring.
