Crocosmia Lucifer2

The best-known crocosmia, and the reason many people grow them: long spikes of brilliant red flowers through late summer. It’s easy, needs no general care, and the clumps can be split to start new plants in other parts of the garden. A good doer for any border.

Good to know: 50 x 30cm. Sun or part shade, moist, well-drained soil. Fully hardy. Lift and split clumps to spread them around.
